- Description
- Unfortunately, no record of who these people are has survived but because the photographs are glass photographic prints, we know they were taken prior to 1890 as by that time this old photographic technology had been replaced.
The young women look to be sisters, very close in age.
We also know the young women and the man were members of the Smith family who farmed 200 acres just west of Palermo on Lot 34, Conc. 1, SDS. The land was owned by Isaac Smith of Grimsby Township who deeded it to his son, John Dorland Smith and his wife, Margaret, in 1831. The farm remained in the Smith family until taken for the creation of Bronte Creek Provincial Park in 1973. - Subject(s)
