- When war bride, Irene Bumby, arrived in Bronte after World War II, the ladies of Walton Memorial United Church welcomed her to Canada with this handmade quilt. They quilted their names into the design.
In these two photographs, Irene's daughter is showing the quilt to Trafalgar Township Historical Society visitors in the fall of 2013. They are at the schoolhouse at Palermo. - Date Of Event
