- An aerial photograph of the Saunders property in the former settlement of Agerton. The house was destroyed in 1972 for the widening of Trafalgar Road (7th Line). Note the beehives behind the house. The 1901 Census lists George E. Saunders as an apiarist.
In early days, the house was an inn. It was constructed in 1877.
The tree to the left of the porch had been grafted to produce three different kinds of apples. - Notes
- Agerton, also known as Auburn, was settled about 1869 with the establishment of a blacksmith shop by John Saunders.
