- The card was commissioned for local sale by J.S. Flumerfelt, Postmaster for Bronte. His son was Allie Flumerfelt. Bronte Post Office was located on Bronte Road, south of Lakeshore on the west side. It was closed in the 1960's when Oakville took over Trafalgar Township.

- Allie O. Flumerfelt was the son of J.S. Flumerfelt, Bronte postmasters.
The stamp is a 1 cent "Canada Postage" green stamp, King Edward VII. King Edward VII died in 1910 and the next King George V stamps began in 1911 which assists in dating the postcard image and message.
The post mark reads, "Bronte Ont. JY 13 10".
The original photograph was black and white, coloured by hand. - Inscriptions

The card is addressed to: Helen Benton, 719 W 9" St., Erie, Penn. U.S.A. The message reads, "Dear Helen, We leave here Monday for Jamestown where we stay a few days. Will be home Friday night. Wava. - Place of Publication
