- Thomas Thompson built the hotel in the Trafalgar Township village of Palermo around 1860. It was a stagecoach stop for travellers between York (Toronto), Milton and Bronte. The location is the northwest corner of Old Bronte Road and Dundas Street West, Halton County, the Town of Oakville.
