- Description
- Isobel Davison says, "One of these dogs was a pet named Gyp. The other was a working herd dog, simply called “Collie”. The dogs brought in the cows each night at 5 pm. All you had to say was “Go and get the cows, Collie”, and the dog would run off, round up the cows, and herd them home for milking."
The Ford farm was on 5th Line at Lower Base Road, Trafalgar Township. The house was built by Great-Grandfather James Ford. In turn, Grandfather J.A. Ford and his family lived here. Then, Father R.R. Ford and his children,Hank, Jim, and Isobel were all born in this house. - Subject(s)
