A newspaper clipping from the scrapbook of Herbert Inglehart reads: "WEDDINGS - - FINDLAY --- INGLEHART Aug 11, 1928 (Findlay should read Finlay I.A.)
The ancestral home of the Inglehart family for nearly one hundred years - the original members being U.E.L. stock - at Palermo was the scene of a pretty wedding this afternoon at 3 o'clock when Edith Margeurita, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Inglehart, became the bride of Rex Hilliard Findlay of Tory Hill,Ont.

The ceremony was performed by Rev, F.G. Farrill of the Palermo-Bronte United Church circuit assisted by the bride's great-uncle, Rev. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was charmingly gowned in white georgette with a large bertha caught with a flower, wide girdle with a rhinestone buckle, and a white tulle veil with a wreath of orange blossoms.

Miss Ruth Inglehart attended her sister and was dressed in a pretty period gown of honeydew georgette with a picture hat of mohair and velvet ribbon. The bride carried a bouquet of sweetheart roses and lily-of-the-valley and the bridesmaid, a bouquet of pink roses. Mr. Gerald Findlay attended his brother. Miss Edna Inglehart played the wedding march and during the signing of the register sang "Oh Perfect Love" accompanied by Miss Marion Inglehart. The house was tastefully decorated with flowers in a colour scheme of white-and-pink, and following the ceremony, a buffet luncheon was served. Mr. and Mrs. Findlay later left on a short honeymoon trip around the lakes and will take up their residence at Harcourt, Ont.
