- Henry Sylvester, Elizabeth and LeRoy Dean were three of the children of Sylvester Dean Oakley and Mary Elizabeth De Cew. There were 3 other children in the family, all born in Oakville, Ontario.
Their father was a blacksmith in Grimsby. His uncle, Thomas Dean, had loaned him the money to purchase the building.
Henry Sylvestor was a tailor, Le Roy dean was a photographer/artist who married Jeanette Lena Evans. Elizabeth married Linus Woolverton. - Inscriptions

- Henry Sylvester Oakley. Elizabeth Oakley. LeRoy Dean Oakley. Sylvester Dean Oakley, b. August 31, 1833 in Grimsby, Ontario. He married Mary Elizabeth De Cew, b. August 7, 1836, d. May 4, 1905, and he died on April 16, 1928. They are buried in Queen's Lawn Cemetery in Grimsby.
