- Arthur George Heaven was born in Bristol England on February 9, 1835. His wife, Jane Stephens, was born in Bristol, England on November 5, 1839. They came to Upper Canada with their children; Herbert, Claude, Lillian, Cecil, Muriel and Cam sometime after 1879. In 1883, they bought the 100 acre farm on Lot 6, Con 1, Trafalgar New Survey (NS). This property is now known as 1510 Bronte Rd. S., Milton. The farm stayed in the Heaven family until April 1925.
Upon retirement, Arthur and Jane moved to "Glenside", south of the Lakeshore Road, on the west side of 4th Line (Lot 20, Con 3 SDS) which is the area of McCraney's Corners.
Land records indicate Arthur G. Heaven sold the farm to his son Herbert in 1895. Herbert married Charlotte McCraney of Trafalgar, daughter of James W. and Augusta McCraney. - Subject(s)
