June we went to the polls be- lieving Doug Ford would keep his Greenbelt promise. Yes, we want affordable housing, and we all know that it can and should be accommodated within our existing boundaries. Mr. Crawford states that he stands “to protect our fu- ture generations and the ironment." On the con- -y, giving the green light to send developers into the Greenbelt is an unforgiv- able betrayal of his prom- ise. This was a special kind of promise to our environ- ment and to our grandchil- dren. Everything is at stake given climate change and our need to save as much natural green as possible. We, Grandmothers Act to Save the Planet (GASP), intend to fight to keep those bulldozers out of the Greenbelt. We will work with communities across Ontari ensure we elect politicians who will re- scind Bill 23 and Bill 39 and protect and expand the Greenbelt.
