Shortly before mid- night a man and a woman got into an argument after meeting in a hotel room in the area of South Sheridan Way and Winston Chur- chill Boulevard, police said. It's alleged another man then entered the room and punched the vic- tim in the face, at which point the woman pepper sprayed the victim. Police allege the male suspect then pointed a gun at the victim and demand- ed his phone and watch. The two suspects then got in a vehicle and at- tempted to flee the area. Halton police located a vehicle nearby that matched the description of the one the man and wom- an were driving, pulled it over and made two arrests. Officers also executed a search warrant at the ho- tel room and found evi- dence of counterfeit iden- tifications and documents, which they allege are re- lated to the female sus- pect. No firearm was recov- ered. A 21-year-old man from Quebec has been charged with robbery with a fire- arm and possession of a firearm contrary to a pro- hibition order. An 18-year-old woman from Quebec has been charged with assault with a weapon, possession of an identity document, unau- thorized possession of a credit card, possession of a forged document, posses- sion of a counterfeit mark and fraud under $5,000. The incident occurred July 22, when police were called to a house located at the intersection of Third Line and Hixon Street. Residents of the home had returned from a night away to find their entire house flooded and their property vandal- ized, police said. The suspect(s) climbed onto the roof of the home and placed a garden hose into a vent above the attached ga- rage and turned the wa- ter on, police said. It is estimated the wa- ter was running for ap- proximately 18 to 20 hours, causing "massive flooding" and damage to the house. The estimated total value of the damage caused is in excess of $100,000. The suspect(s) also slashed an inflatable hot tub in the backyard and cut a phone line to the house. Police would like to speak with anyone who was in the area of Hixon Street and Third Line be- tween 3:30 p.m. on July 21 and 1:45 p.m. on July 22, or anyone who has dash cam/surveillance foot- age near the intersection between those times.
