"Building meaningful relationships with Indige- nous Peoples, Communi- ties and First Nations, in- cluding the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation -- the Treaty Holders of the territory in which Halton Region sits -- is an impor- tant part of Halton's re- sponsibility for Truth and Reconciliation," said Carr. "By signing this rela- tionship agreement, we help ensure that this work continues for years to come and that the relationship is based on cultural under- standing, empathy and re- spect.
