(Morgan) August 20, 1930 - November 10, 2021 ------------------ Violet Amelia Baird née Morgan, wife of the late Donal M. Baird, mother of Peter, Alison and John, passed away peacefully on November 10. Violet trained in nursing at Loma Linda, California, and later rose to the position of Head Nurse at the Montreal Chest Hospital. She left nursing to raise her three children, and upon moving to Oakville became deeply involved in the community, volunteering at her children's school library and serving on the Sunday School committee and Parish Council of St Jude's Anglican Church. She would later return to nursing, once more rising to a top position as Director of Nursing at Oaklands Regional Centre, before moving on to work at the Oakville Senior Citizens Residence. Upon retiring from nursing she found new creative outlets as a gifted painter and sculptor, as well as indulging her passion for reading, writing, gardening, and entertaining her many friends. A Celebration of Life will be held this summer for Violet in her birth province of Newfoundland. "The essential thing is to love life, to love it even when one is suffering. For life is all and love is all, and he who loves life, loves God." - Leo Tolstoy Please sign the Tribute Wall at http://www.koprivataylor.com/ BOLTON, Millicent (nee Capaldi/Campbell) ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ Our dear mother, Millicent Bolton (nee Capaldi/Campbell) passed "gently into that goodnight" in her 100th year on November 9th in Oakville, Ontario. Millicent (Milli) was born in 1922 in Blantyre, Scotland. In 1930, she came to Canada with her parents John and Millie Campbell to Hamilton, Ontario, along with her big brother Jack and little sister Rita (Corrigan). With her marriage to Cliff Bolton in 1944, she moved to Toronto and built a family and a business. She lived her last forty five years in Oakville as an active member and volunteer in the community. Milli was smart, beautiful, patient and kind. Through the ups and downs of life, she provided safe harbour and love for her family. She cared deeply about people and loved to entertain friends and family with gourmet cooking and parties. Her openness drew others to her whether long-time friends or passersby. She is missed terribly by her three daughters; Trish Bolton, Diane Burton and Lee Bolton Robinson. Her memory is treasured by her sons-in-law Brian Burton and Doug Robinson and by her grand- daughters and their spouses, Robyn and Justin Rawlinson and Christine and Jonathan Cooper. Milli also leaves her beloved great-grandchildren Maggie and Annie Cooper, and Beckett and Penelope Rawlinson. Many thanks to her wonderful care-givers at the Wyndham Manor Long Term Care for their compassion and support. In May of 2022, Milli would have reached her 100th Birthday. She will be celebr- ated and honoured then and will rest with her husband Cliff at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Toronto. If desired, donations in lieu of flowers made to Acclaim Health (acclaimhealth.ca) or Halton Conservation (conservationhalton.ca/ foundation) would be appreciated. FARROW, Diane Isobell ¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯ It is with great sadness that we announce that Diane Isobell Farrow (née Adams) passed away peacefully December 10, 2021, with her loving husband of 63 years, George by her side after a short stay at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. She is survived by her children, Mark (Cynthia, Lorraine Rohm), Tye (Eileen), and Grant. Diane will be fondly remembered by her five grandchildren, Adam, Conor, Brendan, Caroline, and Julia. Diane and George both grew up in Oakville where they met at high school. Diane was the Prom Queen and George the football team quarterback. George and his twin brother Grant both married their high school sweethearts, Diane and Jill (née Weatherstone) who were best friends. Diane was very close to George's brother Milt and his wife Mary and all her nieces and nephews. Diane joins her sister Joan Christensen and Howard, and her parents George and Isobell (née Duncan) Adams in the company of our Lord. Diane had a strong faith and sense of community. She was involved in the Knox Church Chancel Guild for over 50 years and looked forward each year to decorating the chancel, nave and narthex for Christmas and Easter. She was a long-standing member of the May Court Club of Oakville where she volunteered at their Nearly New Shop. She also volunteered for over 25 years at the ConnectCare Service of OTMH as well as knitting many items to be donated to newborns at the hospital. Diane will be missed by her many close friends in the Oakville community, many who had been with her since high school. Her elegance and style will be noticeably missed at the many annual events she attended or hosted. Her warm and loving smile and generous heart has left an indelible mark on all she met. The family has held a private service to commend her to God's hands. A celebration of life will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church Oakville in May 2022 where her ashes will be interred in the adjacent Knox Memorial Garden and Farrow Cloister, with a reception to follow. Details will be released closer to the date. At Diane's request, no flowers, donations can be made in her name to Knox Presbyterian Church Oakville, New Roads Project, or the Rotary Club of Oakville, RCO Foundation.
