Anyone who is 12-years-old or older is required to show proof of vaccination, or medical exemp- tion, when visiting municipal fa- cilities. These include indoor recre- ation centres, cultural facilities, arenas, community centres, Oak- ville Centre for the Performing Arts, the Oakville Museum at Erchless Estate and service counters at town hall. Children under the age of 12 are exempt. Pre-booked appoint- ments for marriage licenses and ceremonies fall under the exemp- tion. New appointments do not. Medical exemptions will require proof in the form of a doctor's note and ID to gain entry. This policy is being imple- mented in accordance with the government of Ontario's require- ment to show proof of vaccina- tion in certain settings, which comes into effect on the same day. Members of the public can go to the provincial booking portal to print or download their vacci- nation receipt or call the Provin- cial Vaccine Contact Centre at 1- 833-934-3900.
