Those eligible can book appointments at Halton vaccination clinics that offer Pfizer vaccine through the region's online booking system for both the first and sec- ond shot. As per the provincial direction, the first doses will be offered in June, with the second doses offered by the end of Au- gust -- depending on supply. Youth must have had their 12th birth- day on or before the date of the first shot. To date, more than 316,600 Halton resi- dents have received at least one dose of CO- VID-19 dose, representing 64 per cent of the population, according to data from the public health unit. As for the weekly COVID-19 cases, the region's website shows that from May 21 to 27 there were 228 new cases, another nota- ble decrease from the previous week.
