The OMHS will launch its annual fundraiser Mis- sion Pawsible: All Paws on Deck at the end of the month. Over the next six weeks there will be a number of challenges that individuals and groups can complete to help raise money to help the organization care for animals. OMHS cares for more than 3,000 domestic ani- mals as they wait to find permanent homes, with some injured, abused or abandoned needing extra attention. It also cares for wildlife needing rehabilita- tion before being returned to their natural habitat. It has set the goal of raising $50,000 to support its ef- forts. There are six ways to help OMHS achieve its goal: WALKING CHALLENGE: Set a distance and fund- raising goal. Track your steps with your pet, your partner or on your own. Prizes will be awarded to the top fundraiser. CELEBRATION CHALLENGE: Celebrate a birthday, anniversary or the day your pet joined your fami- ly. The OMHS has a special kit for children who would like to support the animals. RETAIL CHALLENGE: Businesses can ask cus- tomers to add a dollar or two or round up their pur- chase to the nearest dollar. OMHS will provide partici- pating businesses with paper paws that customers can put their name on for display in the store. SPONSORSHIP CHALLENGE: Become a OMHS spon- sor. The pandemic has stretched OMHS' resourc- es. Become a sponsor and receive logo recognition on the campaign page, the OMHS newsletter, a video thank you shared on social media, and a photo oppor- tunity and framed certifi- cate at the end of the cam- paign. CORPORATE CHALLENGE: Get your employees in- volved in fundraising or make a corporate dona- tion. Corporate donations of $2,500 or more will be used as a matching gift to encourage others to sup- port OMHS. Donors will be recognized on the donation page of the OMHS website and will be recognized on social media throughout the campaign. MAKE A DONATION: Make a one-time or monthly donation to help support OMHS' work car- ing for animals.
