Police report the incident -- which they don't believe to be a random act -- occurred at roughly 10 p.m. in the area of Sixth Line and Elm Road. Nearby residents, who spoke on the condition of an- onymity, said the man was shot in the leg. Police said there was no concern for public safety, and at press time continued to search the area for sus- pects, who had not yet been identified.
