On Jan. 20, at some point during the day some- one approached a resi- dence on Sycamore Street and smashed a sliding- glass door at the rear of the residence, police said. The intruder stole a watch and then fled the ar- ea. No one was home at the time of the break-in and no suspect description is available. ... Another break-in took place at a dwelling on Ger- morda Drive on Friday, Jan. 17. At some point between 5 p.m. and 8:30 p.m., someone smashed a sliding-glass door at the rear of the home. During the early morn- ing hours of Friday, Jan. 10 and Saturday, Jan. 11 an unknown suspect or sus- pects approached at least five vehicles parked in thefive vehicles parked in thef Winston Churchill Boule- vard and QEW area, police said. In some cases the indi- vidual(s) pried open vehi- cle windows with some kind of tool while in others the suspect(s) entered un- locked vehicles. One vehicle at a parking lot on South Sheridan Way had two of its windows smashed. The suspect(s) stole sunglasses, clothing, an iPad, a wallet, a laptop and a backpack. The thefts were report- ed on Winston Park Drive, Plymouth Drive and- South Sheridan Way. No suspect description is available. The incident occurred just after 5 p.m. at Third Line and Dundas Street. There appeared to be a crash and then two people got into a fight following the incident, according to police. There are reports one of the involved vehicles fled the scene. One woman went to Oakville Trafalgar Memo- rial Hospital with un- known injuries.
