Caged in Tomato

- I was feeling a little caged in with the stay at home orders.
This would be a great time to start a vegetable garden.
There was excitement with getting indeterminate tomato plants.
A bottomless pot was used. The bottom of the pot was cut out. A hole was dug more than a foot down. A banana and egg shells were added. Also a watering hose for deep watering.
The cage budget was under $20. Two rolls of wire were purchased on line. Pieces of wire were kept to go on top of the nine foot cage. Then plastic will be added for frost protection. The construction adhesive for the joints was already in my garage. Therefore "free" from budget restraints.
Hopefully the tomato plants will grow up and over the cage top. Then they won't be caged in.
Building the cage and growing tomato is certainly a big change for me.
I also planted other vegetables.
Before building the cage many YouTube videos were watch. There was certainly a lot of trials, followed by SUCCESS!
The plants get sprayed regularly. Hopefully the efforts pay off. - Date of Original
