Registration is now underway for the Halton Region Salmon &for the Halton Region Salmon &f Trout Association's Bronte Clas- sic, which is set for Saturday, Sept. 8 at Oakville's Bronte Har- bour. A three-port simultaneous blast-off at 6:30 a.m. will allow an- glers to choose from Bronte, Fish- erman's Pier or Oakville this year. The entry fee is $150 per boat - with a six-rod limit - with the field capped at 50 boats. The weigh in will be held at noon at Bronte Outer Harbour, with a 60 per cent payout for the top three finishers. All Ontario fishing regulations apply. There will also be a contest for the single largest salmon, while registering before Aug. 15 - using PayPal at hrsalmonandtrout.com or Shortwave - will enter partici- pants into a draw for a great prize. Becoming an Halton Region Salmon Trout Association mem- ber between now and blast-off makes new members eligible to win a Special Mate Tackle box and tackle, with a value of $200.
