Canvassers will be ask- ing residents to join the Oakville Hospital Founda- tion's monthly giving pro- gram. The program will continue Mondays through Saturdays until Aug. 31 (ex- cept major holidays) in Oakville, northeast Bur- lington and northwest Mis- sissauga neighbourhoods. The summer cam- paign's goal is to raise awareness and funds as well as offer information about the new hospital. Canvassers will be wear- ing vests with the OHF logo and have an Oakville Trafal- gar Memorial Hospital (OTMH) lanyard with clear- ly visible photo identifica- tion. They'll be asking po- tential donors to consider making a contribution to the hospital by direct debit or credit card payment. Cash will not be accepted. The monthly giving pro- gram is an important source of funding. OTMH physicians and staff pledged to match 100 per cent of all new contribu- tions made as a result of the door-to-door campaign up to $134,134.
