A\3 0 fn S c h f e j Mark Kirton's Hockey school offers an excellent program for the kids to brush up on their skills and will give those who have not attend the School before a good feel for the program. The kids are constantly being bro ken down into small groups on the ice in order that there are NO LONG LINES which is a regular complaint heard around hockey schools circles. It is important also to not that ALL THE KIDS will be grouped According to their AGE AND ABILITY. The school itself is heading into its 10th "SOLD- 0171" year and is held at the River Oaks Recreation Centre on Sixth Line. Two DAY CAMP weeks are being offered this year instead of one. due to the high demand. The staff during the Camp will be increased this year to handle the off ice activities and the school is presently accepting resumes. Please note that the staff must have a degree or with experience in leadership and/< and recreation skills. All the on ice programs are second to none! They include POWERSKATING which covers all the skating skills in a pro gressive way throughout the week and HOCKEY SKILLS which teach and the various hockey skills. There are fun games each day as well as PRO'S and stop by for a chat or TIP for the kids. On a final note, over 2,000 PLAYERS HAVE ATTENDED THE KIBTON HOCKEY SCHOOL in its tenth year of operation and many have gone on to higher levels or have simply improved their skills tremendously, giving them more enjoyment and self-satisfaction. Karen Gringmuth, who's son attended the Day Camp in August for the last three years had this to say about the School, "My son couldn '/ wait to get to the camp. I t is the highlight o f his summer with all the different activities offered, there was no time to get bored. It not only improved his skills in a variety o f sports but it also introduced sportsmanship, camaraderie and gave Mom a sense o f security know- was in good hands, while I I strongly endorse the the fullest. " ppUcations can be pick up at Glen Abbey and River Oaks Recreation Centres, Play it again Sports and both Royal Lepage offices or call 845-8457 and one will sent or dropped to you prompdy.
