Game time is 8 p.m. at Oakville Arena. Blades general manager Murray Walker is confident the players "can deliver the final blow." Blades can clinch But he said it‘s also important for the Blades not to let up against the talented Cougars. That‘s exactly what the Blades did in one regular season game when they let a 5â€"0 lead slip away into an 8â€"5 Cougars victory. If the Cougars hang on tonight, the fifth game will be played back at Burlington‘s Central Arena (on Drury Lane at New St.) Sunday night at 7:30 p.m. Ontario‘s top four teams â€" including the Bruins from Sheridan College â€" are assembled in Ottawa for the provincial championship this weekend, and Bruin coach Jim Flack said that unlike previous years all four chalâ€" lengers have a reasonable shot. Bruins at provincials The province‘s Proâ€"Line sports lottery doesn‘t include Canadian college basketball games, and that may be a good thing. All are among the top ten in the most recent national college rankings, including Algonquin (1), Humber (3), Sheridan (8) and Durham (9). Those rankings have produced an excellent seeding for the tournament in which divisional rivals will fight it out in tonight‘s semiâ€"finals (Sheridan vs. Humber, Algonquin vs. Durham) with the winners meeting in tomorrow night‘s championship game. The successful ingredients are all in place to make tomorrow‘s sixth annual Big Brothers curling bonspiel another smashing success. Big Brothers bonspiel Last year, more than $20,000 was raised, thanks, to a large degree, to a challenge between Big Brother Dan Purdy and Oakville Mayor Ann Mulvale whose teams ended up contributing amounts that were well into four figures. â€"They‘re back at it again this year as are 26 other teams who have long since filled the event to capacity. â€" Among the participants are CFNY‘s Humble and Fred and teams from Ford, the Oakville Beaver and both the police and fire departments. The public are invited to help out any of the teams with pledges which they can do by dropping into the Oakville Curling Club tomorrow or simply phoning Big Brothers at 847â€"7267.
