e e oo 0 We 0 0 e Greenpark provides Community est transit Going to Summerfest? Why not leave the car at the River Oaks or Glen Abbey recreâ€" ation centre parking lots, and take the bus to Nottinghill Gate Park? Greenpark, Canada‘s largest luxâ€" ury home builder, is providing a 25â€" seat bus, and a driver, at no charge Summerfest goers. The green colored courtesy bus is Greenpark‘s ‘thankâ€"you‘ to local citizens, some of whom may be livâ€" ing in homes built by this builder. In fact, Greenpark, of Concord, Ont., is currently building in north Oakville. "Providing the bus for Summerfest gives us a chance to. say thank you to a community," says Greenpark marketing manager Peggy Malloyâ€"Vickers. "The bus is our way of giving something back to the community." On the road since August 1992, the bus has been exclusively used for charitable groups and nonâ€"profit events, explained Molloyâ€"Vickers. These include the Bob Rumble School for the Deaf, Children‘s Aid Society, Canadian National Institute for the Blind, United Way, and organizations for seniors and multiâ€" ple handicapped children. The bus is used mostly in the Greater Toronto area. "We provide the bus to charities allowing people to take trips who would otherwise not have available transportation. For Summerfest, a community event, it will provide free transâ€" portation to help avoid parking 486/255slc 4 MB MEMORY t 5/5 °; 1 GLEN ABBEY‘S SUmmeReEST problems along Nottinghill Gate. There will be extra parking at St. Matthew‘s School. The shuttle bus will also link the two communities of Glen Abbey and River Oaks, as the bus will be one of the first vehicles to traverse the new Smithâ€"Triller Viaduct crossing Sixteen Mile Creek on Upper Middle Road. The Greenpark Bus will be in service Friday, Aug. 20th, from 5:30 to 11:30 p.m.; Saturday, Aug. 21st from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Sunday, Aug. 22nd from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Service will begin ‘on the hour‘ from the Glen Abbey Recreation Centre, and on the ‘half hour‘ from the River Oaks Recreation Centre. And, at 15 minutes past the hour and 15 minutes to the hour, the bus will stop at Nottinghill Gate Park for pickâ€"up and dropâ€"off at Summerfest. The bus comes equipped with a public address system, television, VCR, and a driver, said Molloyâ€" Vickers. "One of our stipulations in providing the bus is that community groups use our driver," she said, adding Carl Cook will be driving the entire time the bus is used for Summerfest. Unfortunately, the bus is not wheelchair accessible. 1 2 FOR ACTIVE COLOUR 1.44 MB FLOPPY DRIVE 200 MB HARD DRIVE 2â€"PCMCIA SLOTS MS DOS / MS WIND TRACKBALL ® cOMPUTER PROMINENT TRAVEL Choose to cruise + Make your choice with us.
