Fillier opened the scoring with a short handed goal 2:33 into the game and then set up Oakville's other four goals as the Hornets ran their Provincial Women's Hockey League winning streak to seven games. Garrett Pyke got the Blades rolling with a power-play goal three minutes into the game and Andrew McIntyre made it 2-0 before the five-minute mark. Wellington cut the lead in half in the second period, but Spencer Kersten restored Oakville's two-goal advantage 1:23 into the third. The Dukes again pulled within one with seven minutes remaining but Chris Elliot shut down Wellington the rest of the way, finishing with 24 saves to earn his 17th win of the season. With the win, Oakville (24-8-3) moved into a tie with Wellington for first overall in the OJHL with 51 points. North York edged the Blades 2-1 Friday Ted Burles scored for the Blades but North York got the winner with three minutes to play. Elliot made 33 saves. It was a success in one way, however, as hundreds of stuffed bears were thrown onto the rink when Buries scored in the first period.
