Naidoo-Harris said last week she is proud and excited to run in the new riding of Milton. "It has been an honour for me to serve the residents of Halton over the last few years. I want to thank the people of Oakville, Burlington and Milton for their support, encouragement and friendship," she said. "I am now excited and energized and looking forward to serving the residents of the new riding of Milton. This is my home and I want to be a strong voice for the wonderful people living in this community." Members of the community gathered in the Milton Room at Town Hall, where Naidoo-Harris was applauded for her work in building up Milton and the region of Halton, including her efforts in bringing the newly-expanded Milton District Hospital, the new Halton Courthouse and the coming university site to the area. "I am proud of my record and what we Halton MPP Indira Naidoo-Harris have accomplished together over the last three years, including major investments in education, health care and infrastructure. We built schools, hospitals and highways and are adding a new courthouse and university site to our region," she said. "I look forward to continue working hard for the people of Milton."
