A German Requiem , by Jo hannes Brahms, will be per formed at St. Matthew's Roman Catholic Church, 1150 M onks Passage, in Oakville on Satur day, April 1 at 8 p.m. and Sun day, April 2 at 3 p.m. Baritone Jerem y Ludw ig will join Earls, who is a soprano. M asterworks of Oakville Chorus and Orchestra is a com m unity m usic group dedicated to perform ing the great w orks of the choral classical tradition. M asterworks is the larg est perform ing arts group in Oakville, often perform ing with more than 100 m usicians and choristers. Joyce Sitarski founded M as terworks and the group's ar tistic director is Charles Demuynck. "I am thrilled to return to my hometown, and to the Masterw orks of Oakville Chorus and Orchestra, in this presentation of Brahm s' A German Requiem. They have always followed and supported my singing ca reer," said Earls, in a m edia re lease. "I w ould like to dedicate this performance to the m emory of m y mother, Finola, whom I lost in 2010. I encourage any one who has loved and lost to attend the perform ances of this transcendent piece of m u sic, and experience it's healing pow ers."
