"I was watching the movie and I really never realized how big Dorothy's part was - all the lines it's going to take," she says, with a tinge of trepidation. "It's one thing to learn the lines the way you want to, but it's another to have the part, and you've got to be that person that you're doing. It's going to be really hard I think, espe cially since I have to learn all the dancing and the vocals as well. I'm also going to be the youngest (cast member)." However, her infectious enthusiasm and excitement soon mask her anxiety, especially when she talks about miss ing school for the daytime rehearsals. The only other time the aspiring actor has given school the brush for a more exciting pursuit was when she took a year off to travel around Europe and Asia with her family. "I think it's better than school. You learn so much just traveling," she recalls. "And I still had to do all the (school) work. But meeting all the new people and the different places was awesome." Perhaps the traveling even pre pared her for a life o f singing and act ing, which she would like to pursue in the future. But, for now, she seems content to settle into the part of Dorothy, hopeful ly with her faithful companion Boo Boo as Toto, traveling to that wonder ful fantasy world of Oz.
