The exhibition pays attention to traditional crafts and harkens back to an era of careful handw ork such as weaving. It features notable artists such as Jay Wil son, who is also a professor at Sheridan College, Ed Pien and Marie Heintzman. Also on display are w orks by famed photographers Berenice Abbott and Edward Burtynsky, as well as art by the legendary First N ations painter Norval Morrisseau. Although the w ork is entertaining for patients and visitors who come to the hospital, the art serves a more serious purpose. Halton Healthcare is integrat ing art into its program s, especially those targeted to seniors, and using the power of creative w orks to help heal patients.
