The purpose and effect of Interim Control By-law 2016024 is to restrict the use of the Glen Abbey Golf Course to the existing uses only, for a period of one year from the date of the passing of the By-law, pending completion of the following land use planning studies: a) An Urban Structure review; b) A Land Use Economic and Impact Analysis study; and c) the Cultural Heritage Landscapes assessment of the Glen Abbey Golf Course, and subsequent consideration by Town Council of changes, if any, recommended to the Town Official Plan, Livable Oakville. The Council of The Corporation of the Town of Oakville has authority to amend By-law 2016-024 to extend the period of time during which the by-law will be in effect, provided the total period of time does not exceed two years from the date of the passing of the By-law. An appeal of the interim control by-law must be filed with the Town Clerk, 1225 Trafalgar Road, Oakville, ON, L6H 0H3, must set out the reasons for the appeal and must be accompanied by payment in the amount of $300 payable to the Minister of Finance for each appeal.
