The Rangers teamed up with One4Another International in order to offer the program, which is needed because the level of poverty in the African country prevents many children from getting medical procedures that are dealt with quickly in Canada. Typical ailments include club feet and bone infections, which can lead to amputation if not treated. For the past three years, Oakville Rangers rep teams are given the opportunity to sponsor a Ugandan child in need of surgery. After a team confirms its interest in sponsoring a child and notifies One4Another, a match will be made.
