W., Oakville, ON Red scarves knitted by members of Munn's United Church's Knitting Circle have been crafted to support the Bronte Grandmothers for Africa's Red Scarf Campaign. Donations for each scarf supports the Stephen Lewis Foundation (SLF), which works with grassroots organizations in sub-Sahara Africa to turn the tide of HIV/AIDS through support of grandmothers raising their grandchildren orphaned by the pandemic. The scarves themselves will be given to the Grandmas love red scarves AIDS Network of Hamilton/Halton for distribution to people living with AIDS and their families. Each scarf will have a tag noting who created the scarf and who donated it.
