2- The Oakville Beaver, Wednesday March 1, 2006 Trio sought in home invasion Halton Regional Police are hunting for three men wanted in connection with Saturday's armed home invasion in Oakville. According to investigators, officers were sum m oned to a White Oaks Boulevard residence at 7:45 p.m. after three suspects armed with handguns forced their way into the home. The trio fled on foot after stealing unidentified items from the home. None of the occupants were injured. An extensive search by uniform offi cers and the K-9 Unit did not turn up any suspects. Suspect one is described as a black male, 18-20 years old, 230 pounds and six feet with a muscular build, wearing dark pants, dark hooded sweatshirt and dark shoes.: He was armed with a sil ver/black handgun. Suspect two is described as a black male, 18-20 years old, 200 pounds and five-foot 10 with an average build, wearing dark pants, dark hooded sweat shirt and solid blue windbreaker. He was armed with a black handgun. Suspect three is described as a black male, 18-20 years old, 230 pounds and five-foot 11 with an average build, wearing dark pants and dark hooded sweatshirt. Oakville Green Party meeting tomorrow A general meeting of area Green Party Canada members is being held in the Acorn Grill cafete ria at Town Hall tomorrow (Thursday) at 7 p.m. The purpose of this meeting is to start the process of reactivating the Oakville riding's Electoral District Association (EDA) of the Green Party. The Acorn Grill is on the first floor of the south wing of the Town Hall at 1225 Trafalgar Rd. According to GPC member Andrzej (Andrew) Chlobowski, the Oakville riding EDA was quite inactive during the last election. In spite of that, the party registered a candidate in the riding and earned 5'per cent of the vote. The meeting will discuss the function and the structure of the Electoral District Association, determine what GPC members could do to increase the party's visibility in Oakville and dis cuss the presence of the GPC at the Halton Eco Festival.
