Holy Mary, I place this prayer in your hands (3 times) Amen. l Obituaries l Obituaries l Obituaries l Obituaries RHODES, Barry Jeffrey Barry Rhodes, age 75, died quietly at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital in Oakville, Ontario on Sunday, 15 May 2016, after a short illness. Barry was born in Reigate, Surrey, UK, 4 February 1941. He came to Canada with his mother, Muriel Bond, his uncle Jeff Bond and his grandparents, William and Carolyn Bond in 1947. The family settled in Cambridge (Galt) Ontario. He has lived in Oakville since 1988. Barry had a distinguished career with London Life beginning as a sales representative in the 1960s and moving on to manager and regional manager in Oakville and later in Stoney Creek, ending in 1993. He was a Charted Life Underwriter. Barry was very close to his son Michael (Montreal); they traveled together regularly. Barry was an amateur historian of the American Civil War and the World Wars traveling often to battlefields and collecting books and memorabilia. He loved anything that moved and avidly studied motorcycles, automobiles, clocks, watches and aviation. Barry loved to make people laugh. Actually he could make anyone laugh. He is survived by his son Michael, his cousins Marilyn Wells, Gillian Ruth and Ann Bond (all of Cambridge) and his ex-wives Wendy Boardman (Port Dover), Dianne Woodruff (Oakville) and former sister-in-law, Anne Evans (Barrie) and his beloved cats, Ebony and Tiger. Barry loved animals. DARJES, Eileen (nee Cargill) After a long struggle with a rare disease, Eileen Darjes decided it was time to take God's hand. She passed away on the morning of Saturday, May 21, 2016 surrounded by love and family. Eileen was the beloved wife of Richard for over 35 years and the amazing mom of Lindsay. Eileen will be deeply missed by her sister Kathy--they were partners in so many adventures. Eileen was born and raised in Oakville and loved her home town. She was a fun-loving, live-life-to-the-fullest type of lady who could always make us laugh. Loving father of Deborah Morgan (Eddy), Melanie Neilson (Charlie) and Michele Farris (David). Dear Grandfather to Lucas (Kathleen), Ryan (Heather), Connor (Kristina), Taylor, Morgan, Sean (Lucia) and Tanya (Nate); and Great-Grandfather to Jake, Savannah, and Charlotte. Bruno cherished his brothers Phillip, John (Cinci), and Robert (Larry), and dear sister Maryon (the late Marcus), and enjoyed a close and loving relationship with his former wife, JoAnne Mary Stone (Robert), and his dear friend, Patricia Neilson. He enjoyed his many nieces and nephews. He is pre-deceased by his parents, Dr. Phillipe J.G. and Marion Morgan, and his siblings William (Bill), Eileen and Anna. Bruno was a trained illustrator, specializing in automotive drawings; but he was very proud to have spent 37 years of his life as Manager, Nu-Car Releasing. He was a former Knight of Columbus in Windsor. Among his charities, Bruno was especially pleased to support the Oakville Hospital Foundation for over 25 years. The family would like to thank the staff and residents of Heritage Place for their friendship and compassion, as well as, Dr. M. Viqar Khan and Linda; Dr. G.K. Jansz and Jane; the staff of Acclaim Health and the CCAC; and the staff and volunteers at The Carpenter Hospice for their comfort and care in the last stage of his life. Jutta and Ted deeply loved each other for many years. They were planning their 60th Wedding Anniversary just before she passed.
