Halton police said around 2:30 p.m., a man opened his car door and struck a woman's car resulting in a verbal argument. The situation escalated when the 42-year-old woman was allegedly pulled from her car, thrown to the ground, grabbed by the hair and punched repeatedly in the head, according to police. The altercation ended when good Samaritans intervened and pulled the man off the woman. Police said the victim received minor injuries. Matthew Codrington, 26, of Toronto faces a charge of assault.
