The day's events included an assault course, first-aid scenario, use of the dewatering pump/fire suppression hose on the pier, and a line toss. TOWARF is a Canadian Coast Guard Auxiliary Unit and, since 1954, has provided marine search and rescue services in western Lake Ontario. With more than 75 trained volunteers, the rescue force is on duty 32 hours per week and on-call 24 hours a day, seven days a week to the Rescue Centre and Halton Regional Police Service during the boating season.
