Oakville man expected to recover following pool accident A 22-year-old resident is expected to recover following an accident in a backyard pool on Ash Tree Way Friday. At around 5:30 p.m., Halton EMS, Oakville Fire and Halton police were called to the eastend residence after a man, who was in distress at the bottom of the pool, was rescued by a relative, police said. Oakville Deputy Fire Chief Brian Durdin said emergency personnel performed CPR on the unconscious man before an ambulance took him to Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. Officers said he was breathing on his own when he was taken to hospital. It was unclear at the Oakville Beaver's press time yesterday (Wednesday) how the man came to be in distress in the pool. 21 | Thursday, August 27, 2015 | OAKVILLE BEAVER | www.insideHALTON.com For more news, visit insidehalton.com/oakville-on halton.ca 311 NOTICE OF CONSTRUCTION Sanitary Lateral Transfer from Rear Lot Easements to Maurice Drive and Felan Avenue in the Town of Oakville Free parKinG admiSSion $10 Gate hourS under 12 Free Fri 12-6 weeKend Sat & Sun 9-8 Family mon 9-4 paSS $25 Steam & GaS enGineS - antique CarS & traCtorS - equipment paradeS ShinGle mill ColleCtion - demoS - KidS Zone learn to drive traCtor - Family entertainment & muSiC SwinGin' 60S FaShion- model diSplayS SparK Show - lantern walK vendorS - Steamed Corn & So muCh more!
