CROWLEY, Joseph Patrick 1959 - 2015 It is with profound sorrow and a great sense of loss that we announce the sudden passing of Joseph Patrick (Pat) Crowley on August 8, 2015. He leaves behind a legacy of love, loyalty, vitality, generosity, humour and success, enriching the lives of all those who knew him. Devoted husband and partner to his loving wife of 32 years, Donna. Father, mentor and inspiration to his two children - Jack and Kathleen. Mourned by his sister, Bernardine Gilbert, brother Kevin Crowley and his wife Catherine, sister-in-law Diane Drysdale Anderson and her husband Dave, brother-inlaw Douglas Jr., and parents-in-law Douglas Sr. and Joan Drysdale. Born and raised in Oakville, Ontario, Pat was a gifted artist, athlete, outdoorsman and leader who made strong and lasting friendships throughout his life. He graduated from the University of Toronto with a BA in 1982 and soon after joined the RCMP. Following several years stationed in Cranberry Portage, Manitoba, Pat accepted an employment opportunity with CSIS. He enjoyed a successful career over the next 30+ years, working in Toronto and Ottawa and rising to ever-more senior roles. Highly respected for his leadership skills, wise counsel, reliability, loyalty and great sense of humour, Pat was a mentor, friend and inspiration to those who knew him personally and professionally. He liked nothing more than spending time at the cottage with family and friends. He has left us too soon and will be deeply missed. A public celebration of Pat Crowley's life will take place in Toronto on Wednesday, August 19 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Military Institute, 426 University Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Camp Quality Southern Ontario, a national charitable organization devoted to providing free camp experience and year-round programming for children with cancer. GIBB, Margaret Juanita (nee Ferguson) It is with great sadness that we announce the passing on August 9, 2015 of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Margaret Juanita (Ferguson) Gibb, after a tough battle fought against cancer. Survived by her husband of almost 68 years, Jim, daughters Sue Ann (Doug Brady), Jane (Randy Lewis) and Debby Anderson (Grant Fleming). Grandmother of ten Holly Laird, Heather Pickles (Morgan), James Laird (Megan), Adam Laird, Sean Brady (Amanda), Megan Young (Danny), Stephanie and Sam Lewis, Tim Anderson (Jen) and Carly Anderson (Ed Kanerva). Great-Grandmother to seven Noah and Jack Pickles, Thomas and Madison Brady, Samantha Fyfe, Liam Young and Chloe Anderson. Margaret was born and raised in Montreal. She was very active in the Oakville community for 57 years supporting her children and grandchildren through school volunteering, Guiding, dance, and sports events - a frequent spectator at football and soccer games. She was a member of St. Aidan's Church for 50 years. She loved to accompany Jim on business trips and travel for the past 29 years post-retirement. She is resting at Oakview Funeral Home with visitation Thursday, August 13, 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and funeral at 4 p.m. Friday, August 14. PERITORE, Calogera "Lina" Surrounded by loved ones, Calogera "Lina" Peritore, 80, of Oakville, Ontario, peacefully reunited with her husband on July 13, 2015. "Lina" as she was affectionately known by her friends was born in Licata, Sicily in 1934. She married the love of her life, Gaetano Peritore. Lina then immigrated to Canada where Gaetano was employed by the Ford Motor Company. Lina and Gaetano raised their family in Oakville, until Gaetano passed away from cancer in 1973, at which time Lina and her three young children moved back to Italy. Lina subsequently returned to Canada with her three children: Gerlando, Vincenza, and Giuseppe. Lina was a seamstress who worked in the upholstery and tailoring industry. She was actively involved at St. James Parish, where she attended Mass regularly and was a member of the Italian Choir. She participated in many of the Marian feasts at the Parish and led the collection which was used to purchase the San Padre Pio statue, which now stands inside the church. Lina was family oriented and enjoyed sewing, cooking and taking care of children. She was very proud of her children and would not hesitate to change her own plans in order to spend time with them and her grandchildren. Lina was a very strongwilled woman who, despite all her physical challenges, lived in her own home. She lived with osteoporosis and severe arthritis for many years. Although she managed to bounce back after multiple, long hospital stays related to falls, it was an aggressive pneumonia that she succumbed to, during her most recent hospitalization at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital. Lina is preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers and a sister. Lina was the youngest of all her siblings. She is survived by her brother Carmelo in Italy; son Gerlando (Jamie) Peritore, daughter Vincenza (Steve) Fenech and grandchildren Jennafer and John; son Giuseppe (Rita) Peritore and grandchildren Gaetano, Celestia, and Anyssa. She will always be fondly remembered as "Ma" and "Nonna" to her family. Her faith in God, love of family/ friends, strong determination and the numerous Sicilian home-cooked meals she enjoyed making, will be missed.
