Former Oakville Town Crier Betty Kading is the Master of Ceremonies for this variety show featuring many per formers who will dance, sing, tap, clog or play, with skills that will truly amaze. The Spectacular is a presentation of the Seniors' Centres of Oakville, featur ing age 50+ performers of Halton Region and surrounding areas. The Spectacular is an opportunity for older adults interested in the arts to showcase their skills and talents as entertainers, confirming that age is only a state of mind. MADD Halton became an official chapter in 1993 and since then, mem bers have raised funds for a police van, the purchase of two intoxalyzers and to defray the costs of RIDE programs. "There are thousands of other volun teers doing the kind of work we do. There are a lot of caring angels out there," said Stephanie. "The community has also been very good to us." At age 73, Stephanie continues to share her energy during numerous speaking engagem ents at schools, churches, service clubs, shopping malls, conferences and even prisons. "She works harder than she's ever done," says Bill.
