That's according to author Jason Tetro who spoke at the Canadian Club of Halton Peel dinner, at the Oakville Conference Centre, Nov. 27. Tetro's book, The Germ Code: How to Stop Worrying and Love Microbes, was shortlisted for this year's Canadian Science Writers' Association awards that honour outstanding contributions to science writing for the general public. He has worked in the scienti c community for more than 25 years, most recently as a microbiologist at the University of Ottawa, and now in Toronto as a social marketer for health and Jason Tetro hygiene. Known as `The Germ Guy,' Tetro said many people aren't aware of their relationship with microbes, which is needed to maintain good health.
