www.insideHALTON.com | OAKVILLE BEAVER | Thursday, November 27, 2014 | 26 Halton.ca 311 Dance not her only success story continued from p.22 After Canada-wide auditions in June, she was chosen for the Canadian national tap dancing team. "I was so excited, because I was supposed to get an email. I got mine really late so I thought I didn't make it," she said. Since then, Wilson has had four-hour rehearsals in Waterdown every Sunday. While the youth is no stranger to competition, this is her first world-sanctioned competition. When not dancing, the youth is the co-host of the award-winning web series Fit For A Feast on YouTube, which has more than 66 million views and thousands of fans worldwide. After learning about nutrition and staying fit in Grade 5 health class, Wilson and her friend, Katrina Pacher created the show to help other kids stay healthy. They share dance and fitness segments and healthy recipes. The show has been featured on The Rachael Ray Show, YTV's The Zone, Global TV's Generation Inspiration, CityTV's Breakfast Television and CHCH TV . Wilson plans to continue with dance at university and to pursue more acting. She hopes to dance on a cruise line and dreams of being a Rockette. But right now, she is most excited to compete for her country. "I am so excited to put on the Team Canada jacket," she said. "I am just looking forward to the whole experience. This is way bigger than anything I've ever done."
