The incident occurred on Thursday near the Trafalgar Road campus shortly after 11 p.m. Police said the victim was walking on the trail system behind the campus when he was approached by two unknown black males, described as being in their 20s. One of the men pulled his "upper clothing to flash what appeared to be a handgun in his waistband," police said. The same man then allegedly demanded the victim hand over his wallet. Police reported the two suspects, "spoke further with the victim for a short period of time" before fleeing the scene and walking along the trails back towards Sheridan. The first suspect is described as being 5-foot7 to 5-foot-8, 160 lbs., with a medium to heavy build, and wearing a black toque, black loosefitting jacket and baggy black pants. The second male is also in his 20s, 6-foot to 6-foot-2, with a thin build, and was wearing a black hoodie. Police are reminding the public that if they recognize the suspects, to not approach them and call 9-1-1 immediately to report their continued from p.3 both Dieppe and D-Day, only to be killed in a later battle. "They finally see, this isn't just a name, this was a man," Duncan said. "I had one student who said, `It's so sad he had to die.'" Duncan said remembering the sacrifices of soldiers is especially important for Garth Webb students because their school is named after a veteran, who later in his life was the driving force behind the creation of the Juno Beach Centre to commemorate those who fought in the Second World War. Though Webb knew of the honour, he died months before the school opened and never had the opportunity to speak to students. "If you look at the newest high schools, Craig Kielburger (in Milton) and Frank Hayden (in Burlington), they've been able to have (their namesakes) in the school. We didn't get that chance," Duncan said. "We want every Grade 10 student to understand who Garth Webb was by understanding who these people were. We want to bring Mr. Webb to them."
