Beloved wife of the late James Wilton Baillie, much loved mother of Rusty Baillie (Sue), Peter Baillie (Charmaine), and Janet Baillie (Barry Mees). Loving "Granny" to Mary Unsworth, Andrew Unsworth, Nancy (Scott) Unsworth, Jeanine Baillie, Kathleen Baillie (Christian), Marian Baillie, James Baillie (Kendra), Jennifer Baillie. Nancy also had 2 great-grandchildren, James and Elyse Baillie. She was born December 24, 1920 in Brantford, Ontario to Graham Newton and Stella Harbottle. Her younger brother John Newton (Helen) lives in Owen Sound, and she was predeceased by brother Peter Newton (Susie). Nancy and her family moved from Brantford to Oakville when she was 16 years old. She trained as a nurse at Sick Kids, and married her husband Jim at the end of the war, in which she served in the Navy, mainly in Halifax. They resided in Oakville throughout their lifetime, and Nancy was very active in the community. She volunteered her time at the OTMH, St. Jude's Church, and was a founding member of the May Court Club of Oakville. The family would sincerely wish to thank all the staff at Sunrise of Oakville, and the OTMH palliative team members, for their caring support. The funeral will be held at St. Jude's Anglican Church, 160 William Street, Oakville on Friday, 3 October 2014, at 1 p.m., with a reception afterwards in the St. Jude's hall.
