The remainder of the bill includes payments for services from Halton Region (31 per cent), police (11 per cent), and education (30 per cent). Town services include local building and fire code permits; fire services; busi ness development and tourism; planning and zoning; roads, sidewalks and street lighting; the Oakville Museum, Oakville Galleries, Oakville Centre for the Performing Arts and Oakville Library system; storm sewers; municipal licens ing and by-law enforcement; parking; parks and recreation; tax collection; and Oakville Transit.
