community notices Carriers Wanted l Obituaries BLAKELY, Noreen (nee Fitzgerald) With her loving children by her side, Noreen passed peacefully on May 19, 2014 at the Trillium Health Centre, Mississauga, at the age of 74. Beloved wife of the late Brian Blakely (1997). Loving mother of Jill (Steve), Trevor (Scottie) and Derek (Melanie). Cherished grandmother of Christopher, Heather, Davis, Gunnar, Fletcher, Alex, Curtis, Will and Hayden who still talk about her ziplining with them in Costa Rica last year at the age of 73! Caring sister of the late Brian Fitzgerald (1998). Noreen was a strong, independent and caring person to all who had the benefit of spending time with her. She was always available for both family and friends and her infectious smile/grin and laugh would light up a room. Beanie, as she was affectionately known by her friends, also had a lifelong passion for tennis, travel and watching any and all sporting events on TV. She also enjoyed all family occasions, especially those that would end in a late night game of cards and a few drinks. She was most proud of her children, who she cared and worried about every day of her life. Noreen lived her life "her way" and for that we respect and admire you! You will be sorely missed, but never forgotten. Visitation will be held at the Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds Street, Oakville on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Andrews Roman Catholic Church, 47 Reynolds Street, Oakville on Friday, May 23, 2014 at 1:45 p.m. A celebration of Noreen's life will be held following the service for family and friends at Derek Blakely's home at 38 Belvedere Drive in Oakville. Noreen would have wanted all of you to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada would be appreciated. A daytime opportunity for those looking to supplement their income. 31 | Friday, May 23, 2014 | OAKVILLE BEAVER | www.insidehalton.com Carriers Wanted l Obituaries l Memorial Services Adult Newspaper Delivery (Oakville) George Douglas Foreman March 15, 1928 - April 23, 2014 Please join the family for a Celebration of His Life on Sunday, May 25th, 2014 2 - 4 p.m. at the Eagle Ridge Golf Club, 11742 Tenth Line, Georgetown. eagleridge.clublink.ca Remembering...
