Hardenne, whose appointment was made of cial Monday, had been in the role on an interim basis since the end of March when John Oliver announced his retirement. The two worked together to transition the role until Oliver of cially retired April 30 after 23 years at the helm. "We are extremely pleased with this appointment. The search committee's decision to recommend Denise was unanimously supported by the board," said Judy Wilson, HHS board chair. Hardenne called her new role a "great honour and privilege." "I look forward to working with the board and my colleagues on the senior team to ensure the organization continues to deliver high-quality patient care experiences to our communities," she said.
