The event will be at the Oakville Conference and Banquet Centre, 2515 Wyecroft Rd. It begins at 5 p.m. and features men nominated by the community. "All of our 2014 nominees have gone beyond the call of duty, and are making the world truly a safer place and have helped several women and children," said Melvina Walters, the executive director of the Women's Centre. "The bigger picture is eradicating the cycle and disease of violence, and we will only be successful in this serious issue if men step up to the plate like our 20 nominees who are actively living purpose-driven lives." The nominees include: · Const.
