O'Neill said the fundraising target was hit as the result of a Christmas miracle. "Our campaign was successful and then on the morning of Dec. 24, we received a call from a local businessman that wanted to help. He offered to help us get to our goal and proceeded to write a cheque for $50,000," he said. "The support from the community has been terrific. We are very grateful. Not only have many people been generous with their money, they have been generous with their time and energy.
