Having publicity about the tour in decorating magazines, the event has become well-known beyond Oakville's borders with spectators coming from London, Ont., Markham, Aurora and Kingston to view the homes, said McCoomb. "There's a huge interest from the community and beyond. People are into Christmas and like to see beautiful homes decorated," she said. "There's a lot of interest to see what's trendy in the season." The Friday night, candlelight tour runs from 6-9 p.m. and is followed by a reception with complimentary drinks and hors d'oeuvres from 8:30-11 p.m. at the Oakville Golf Club, 1154 Sixth Line. A Saturday (Dec. 7) tour date is also available from 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. St. Andrew's Church, 47 Reynolds St., will also be decorated and open for viewing with tea, hot cider and baked goods available at the Parish Centre, 53 Reynolds St., adjacent to the church.
