Piquet, a Toronto resident, is a member of ArtWorks Oakville and has exhibited around town for a number of years, including holding a previous show at Julia's in 2010. She was also part of a Lifethreads exhibit at Oakville Town Hall and has painted scenes of Oakville. The current show features quiet street scenes of Montreal, botanical and still life subjects and everyday objects, places and moments observed in art. The restaurant is located at 312 Lakeshore Rd. CPS INKworks presents juried photo show Joshua Creek Heritage Art Centre is hosting the first annual Juried Photographic Exhibition, presented by Oakville's CPS INKworks. The exhibit opens Saturday (April 20), with an opening ceremony taking place Sunday at 3 p.m. The show features the works of 45 GTA photographers who submitted 92 images for judging. Fifty images were accepted for the show. The show was juried by retired Canadian Press photographer Doug Ball and Andy Duncan of Duncan & Wright Foto Source in Burlington. The exhibit is sponsored by CPS INKworks owner Bill Hewitt who uses the Joshua Creek Heritage Art Centre for his business studio. The show is a way of thanking the photographic community for supporting his business for 30 years. The centre is located at 1086 Burnhamthorpe Rd. E. The show runs until May 19.
